I am a multidisciplinary artist and art educator with work spanning painting, drawing, jewelry, and wearable design. Influenced by fashion pictorial references and fashion illustration, my practice explores story-telling, textile art and collage. After about 10 years, I honed and developed a painting and mixed media style known as “Patchwork Painting", that I now teach in a variety of community settings. One thing, I just realized is that I did not create the Patchwork Painting name. I created a style, but I was not the first to call it Patchwork Painting. Teaching allows me to be my authentic self as I share my appreciation for textiles, fashion, creativity and style. I encourage you to marvel at my student work under teaching.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and art educator working across painting, oil pastel and charcoal drawing, jewelry, and wearable design. My work is rooted in fashion, visual culture, and a deep appreciation for textiles. From an early age, fashion magazines, photography, and design shaped how I see color, form, and style, and those influences continue to guide my practice today.
I am particularly drawn to models from the nineties, any Yves Saint Laurent runway model from any era (boy, did he have taste), and I admire models from the seventies and eighties like Pat Cleveland, Katoucha Niane, and Mounia the first Black Haute Couture model and the first Black model to walk the runway for Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Love them so much.
